Our story

Quillaby started with a tired back, a small flat in south London, and a Tuesday evening that had stretched to ten past midnight again.

Our founder had bought a £20 acupressure mat off Amazon. It worked — sort of. Her shoulders stopped feeling welded together. She slept deeper on the nights she used it. But the mat itself was an eyesore: loud orange, smelled of factory plastic, the pillow was sold separately for £30, and the whole thing lived shoved behind the wardrobe because it didn't belong in any room of the flat.

So she made the one she'd actually leave out.

A mat the colour of porridge. A cover that unzips and goes in the wash. A pillow that meets your neck properly, included as standard. A carry bag because storage matters when you live in 38 square metres. And a price that doesn't punish you for wanting twenty minutes to yourself at the end of a long day.

Quillaby is named after the old English for "evening rest." It's not a wellness brand. It's a mat — a very good one — made for the twenty minutes between the day you had and the night you need.
